For a more efficient distribution of CPU time among tasks, consider a method called Round Robin Scheduling in the Operating System. FCFS is easy to implement and intuitively fair, but it lacks flexibility and is not suitable for interactive processes. It also results in a delay of all jobs behind it. Further, it is not suitable for interactive processes and is not preemptive. While FCFS is fair, it is not preemptive and is not good for time-sharing systems.
